Icebergchick DMC
Too Long; Didn’t Read
Remote Greenland prices are about the same as safaris at $1000 USD per person per day on average.
Our Ilulissat and Uummannaq itineraries are designed for most families and solo travelers ranging from the elderly and less mobile individuals with add-on’s available for very active travelers. We can tailor it to photography groups or other areas of interest such as aurora viewing or educational, for instance.
The other destinations we serve are not designed for first time visitors to the polar regions but can be escorted upon request. The remote trips are very special interest but not limited to wildlife, polar bears, subsistence living, hunting, cultural immersion, exploration, expeditions, photography, filmmaking, and extreme experiences.
If your client has already done it all and seen it all and is in good shape, then these experiences might be truly epic all while forming memories that will contribute to their understanding of climate change and its impact on people they meet during these adventures.

IBC Adventures DMC has a B2B side that is a destination management company for travel industry professionals and businesses. We serve special interest travel advisors, organizations, and agencies that prioritize giving their clients the adventure of a lifetime in the parts of Greenland that are underrepresented. The emphasis of our trips versus other providers is that our products all involve local residents and guides so that they can gain a different understanding of Greenland informed by genuine interpersonal interactions.
As a DMC, we are committed to supporting small businesses owned by Greenlanders. We have connections that run deep in East Greenland, Far North such as Qaanaaq and its surrounding communities, Uummannaq, and Ilulissat. We are also committed to donating a portion of the proceeds to a small list of charities in Greenland that clients can choose from upon the conclusion of their trip. These include Uummannaq Children’s Home and Majoriaq Ittoqqortoormiit at this time and we are looking for a charity in Qaanaaq.
We also provide the “fixer” services in our four destinations or in conjunction with other DMCs depending on the region in Greenland. If your client is interested in Nuuk or South Greenland, we will get you in touch with one of our partners.
Our previous B2B engagement focused on a film project in conjunction with independent filmmakers for the European Broadcaster Network Arte.TV “Eisbärpatrouille” (more here) about the polar bear patrol program sponsored by the government of Greenland and World Wildlife Foundation in Ittoqqortoormiit. Because of the unpredictable nature of wildlife videography, Arielle inadvertently ended up contributing crucial footage to the finished film because our local guide was able to get closest to the bear.
Because of our prior experience and consistent contributions on social media, IBC DMC is already contracted by major YouTube channels for projects that are already in production and will conclude in 2025. We provide consultations, research, and other services depending on the request.
In addition, since our roots are in photography, we can offer unique photography focused expeditions for your clients that are fully escorted by a professional photographer or for enthusiasts of aerial photography. We can provide printing services as an add-on.
We have a background in industrial safety and HSSE. Safety is our top priority. As a result, we have a partnership with search and rescue service providers, PLB’s, and Adventure Travel Medical Kit preparation advice. We can provide guidance on certain travel insurance for these remote areas. Travel insurance is a requirement for all of our clients visiting these areas.
Please reach out if you’re considering Greenland as a destination for a discovery call. We can arrange a meeting here. Or drop me a line.
